We had a unique, but wonderful experience with Joyce Friedman as our realtor for the purchase of our first home. Although Joyce was overall a joy to work with, there are several aspects of this experience that really resonated with us. 1: Timliness: We we referred to Joyce by a family friend as soon as we knew we would be relocated to Nashville for my residency. We reached out and she followed up within a day. Not only that, she listened to my rather stringent requirements for our home and provided us a list of incredible places immediately after our first phone call. 2: Knowledgble: Admittedly, my husband and I were rather lost in this whole process. Not only were we first home buyers with a limited time to purchase a home, but we were attempting to move across the country during a global pandemic. Joyce was able to show us the ropes. She was an invaluable source for us in terms of the different areas of Nashville. She was also able to show us the best locations and homes for us. Finally, she displayed her expertise by pointing out countless property faults our inexperienced eyes glanced over, as well as incredible home features we initially paid small attention to but ended up being incredibly important decision making points. 3: Flexibility: Did I mention we purchased a home during the Covid pandemic? This meant our ability to travel to Nashville was significantly limited. But Joyce took this in stride. She braved the virus ridden world, armed with nothing but a sturdy yellow glove, role of toilet paper, and hand sanitizer. She went to house after house, face-timing to give virtual walk throughs for us. And when we decided a house was good enough for a visit, she was immediately available to great us as warmly as social distancing allowed and take us through her city. And when we decided we wanted to see more, she repeated this process with a smile, until we found our perfect home. 4: Follow Through: Our wonderful experience with Joyce, however, did not end when we decided on a house. She continued to be ever by our side when negotiating better terms with buyer, ensuring everything was in place financially and with insurnance, and even offering to call in during our closing to make sure we had our knowledgable guide present through every step. But even after all this Joyce impressed us, by providing a list of great service providers for us to use and even collecting our mail and items that arrived in Nashville before we did. My husband and I will immediately refer any friend or family we know who are purchasing in the Nashville area. We feel incredibly blessed to have been able to work with Joyce. Despite the craziness of the situation we would repeat our home search with Joyce in a heart beat. We can’t wait till we can welcome Joyce into our home with a real rather than virtual hug.
